Its because we are NOT a democracy…..its one of the most false claims about The United States of America….The USA is NOT a Democracy and never has been…..we are a Constitutional Republic, and that’s how you can win the popular vote and not become president. If we didn’t have the electoral college than 85% of the States “voices” would never be heard, we would no longer be the United States of America and we would just be America….states rights would be ZERO without the electoral College. That’s the truth.
